A 56-year-old Cornwall man is facing charges after a stolen car hit a hydro pole on County Road 2, east of Cornwall, on October 14.
According to the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the car left the roadway and struck the pole, causing significant damage and leaving power lines hanging above the road.
Witnesses reported seeing a man exit the car and flee on foot. The OPP Canine Unit located the suspect, who was taken to hospital as a precaution, but had no serious injuries.
No serious injuries were reported, but the suspect was transported to hospital as a precaution.
The man is facing several charges in connection with the incident.
