Microsoft Expands AI Processing in UAE
Microsoft has started processing its generative AI solution, Microsoft 365 Copilot, within the UAE to enhance data sovereignty for public and government entities.
This is a sovereignty solution for highly regulated customers. The processing and data now can remain within the country.
According to Waseem Hashem, Microsoft's Go-To-Market Lead for the UAE, this move demonstrates the company's commitment to supporting the UAE's AI blueprint, which aims to make the country a builder and exporter of AI technologies.
- Microsoft operates two data centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
