Canadian Passport Overtakes U.S. in Visa-Free Access
According to the Henley Passport Index, Canada now ranks 9th in terms of visa-free access to countries, surpassing the U.S.
Previously, both countries were tied at 7th place, but the U.S. has fallen behind due to reciprocal policies imposed by other countries in response to new U.S. visa restrictions.
- Canadian passport holders can visit Belarus, Papua New Guinea, and Uzbekistan without a visa.
- They can also skip the visa requirement upon arrival in Bolivia and Rwanda.
Henley and Partners has issued the ranking for two decades, tracking visa-free access to countries.
