The province of Ontario will spend over $3.4 million to create seven supportive housing units for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness in Espanola.
According to Rob Flack, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing,
“Supportive housing enables people in our communities to get back on their feet and turn the page to new and exciting chapters in their lives.”
Located at 661 Queensway Ave., Cornerstone Homes features a mix of one-bedroom units, including several fully accessible units, a shared laundry room, a common room, and an office for support staff.
The government aims to
“get more affordable and supportive housing built across Ontario to protect our most vulnerable residents and ensure they have a roof over their heads”by working with municipal partners.
