New 'Pay One, Stay Two' Parking Deal
Waverley Borough Council is trialing a new parking initiative to boost town centres.
The "Pay One, Stay Two" scheme, developed with Haslemere Town Council and local BIDs, offers a free second hour of parking when a one-hour ticket is purchased on Wednesdays, from 1pm to 10pm.
"We know that simply increasing footfall isn't enough – what matters is encouraging people to stay longer and spend more in our fantastic independent shops, cafés, pubs, and restaurants. This new 'Pay One, Stay Two' offer is a smart, targeted way to do just that."
Cllr Tony Fairclough, Waverley Borough Council portfolio holder, said the scheme aims to support local businesses and attract more shoppers and diners to town centres.
