Dexter Community Band Kicks Off 2025-26 Season
The Dexter Community Band has prepared a free fall concert featuring dance music from various genres.
The concert will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, at Dexter High School, showcasing selections such as:
- Four Dances from West Story
- Aaron Copland’s Hoe Down
- Pineapple Poll, a musical spoof of Gilbert and Sullivan operettas
- A medley of Big Band favorites, including A String of Pearls and Satin Doll
- Dance of the Jesters by Peter Tchaikovsky
Director William W. Gourley will lead the band in these performances.
The band will play the frighteningly fast Dance of the Jesters.
