Apple to Introduce Digital Passport IDs in Wallet
Apple will soon introduce a feature to Apple Wallet, allowing U.S. users to create a digital ID using their passport.
This digital ID can be used at select TSA checkpoints for domestic travel, expanding Wallet's capabilities beyond payments and tickets to a secure storage for digital identity.
- Currently, support for government IDs in Apple Wallet is available in 12 states and Puerto Rico.
