Dutch election: D66 and PVV neck and neck with smallest difference ever

The 2025 Dutch general election has yielded a historically close result, with D66 and PVV virtually tied.

With nearly all votes counted, Rob Jetten's D66 and Geert Wilders' Party for Freedom (PVV) have each secured 26 out of 150 seats, separated by only a few thousand votes.

At 99.6% of votes counted, PVV holds a narrow lead of around 1,300 votes, but Rob Jetten is being seen as the winner of this year's election campaign.

Despite this, it could be days before the largest party is revealed, reports NOS.
