17-Year-Old Arrested for Shooting 9-Year-Old Boy in Antioch
On Sunday, November 2, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Antioch Police Department responded to a shooting report in the 300 block of Sunset Drive.
Upon arrival, officers found a 9-year-old boy who had been struck by gunfire. They provided medical aid until Con Fire personnel arrived.
The victim was transported by helicopter from nearby Bidwell High School to a local hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
A 17-year-old male suspect was identified and taken into custody through the course of the investigation, which is ongoing.
