Yorktown Tentative 2026 Town Budget Proposes No Tax Increase
Yorktown Supervisor Ed Lachterman presented the 2026 Tentative Budget with no proposed property tax increase.
The proposed 2026 Tentative Town Tax Rate remains flat at $178.14 per $1,000 of Assessed Value.
“This year’s budget reflects my ongoing commitment to fiscal responsibility and the delivery of high-quality essential services—all while striving to keep costs as low as possible for our residents,”
said Supervisor Lachterman. The Town Tax Rate consists of three funds: General, Library, and Highway.
Supervisor Lachterman acknowledged economic pressures outside of Yorktown’s control.
