Power has been restored to thousands of Hydro One customers in Norfolk County, as confirmed by the company's online outage map.
A power outage occurred at approximately 9:40 a.m. on Friday, affecting over 26,000 Hydro One customers in the area.
Hydro One crews responded promptly and worked throughout the day to repair the issue, which was caused by an equipment failure, and restored power in stages.
Some residents reported on social media that power was restored as early as 4:30 a.m., while other parts of the town had power back on by Friday night.
Initially, Hydro One estimated that power might not be restored until 8 a.m., but by Saturday morning, the outage map indicated that all areas in Norfolk were clear.
Hydro One crews responded immediately and worked throughout the day to make repairs and restored power in stages.
