South Devon MP Caroline Voaden continues to push for a banking hub in Totnes, questioning a Treasury Minister in Parliament on November 4.
She asked if new regulations are needed to help rural areas retain face-to-face banking services, noting the Financial Conduct Authority's role in protecting access to cash, but the lack of oversight on face-to-face services.
Ms Voaden highlighted that Lloyds Banking Group will prevent customers from cashing cheques at Post Offices from January next year.
