Democrats Gain Seats in Suffolk and Nassau Legislatures
Democrats have made significant gains in both the Suffolk and Nassau County Legislatures, unseating a Republican incumbent in Suffolk and claiming an open seat in Nassau.
In Suffolk's 1st District, Democrat Greg Doroski defeated Republican Legis. Stark for the North Fork seat, with virtually all precincts reporting late Tuesday.
