Centerville Residents Express Frustration with City Council

Residents of Centerville, Iowa, are voicing their frustration with the city council, claiming that administrators have overstepped their authority and are misusing their positions for personal financial gain.

A citizens' action group, We the People of Appanoose County, held a meeting at Solid Rock Church of God on October 10 to discuss the issue of alleged illegal water surcharges by the city.

"I can see it more and more with the city council and with the mayor–they don’t care anymore about what we think. That’s a true fact, and that’s it. In fact, people are taking money–our money–and we see nothing. Nothing."

The group is taking action ahead of the Centerville Municipal Election, scheduled to be held in November.
