Teddy Sparks – Cowboy and cat skinner (1923-1987), part one

Edward Thomas "Teddy" Sparks, the youngest child of David Carson Sparks and Jessie Corine Sparks, was a self-reliant cowboy who learned through experience.

Teddy's family arrived in Pleasant Valley on July 4, 1913, in covered wagons. He became a successful cowboy, known for finding humor in situations and being able to laugh at himself.

Homer Haught recalled one of Teddy's "flaws" at the Buzzard Roost Ranch near Young, which he witnessed firsthand.

Teddy Sparks was born in 1923 and passed away in 1987, leaving behind a legacy as a cowboy and cat skinner.
