Rare Calico Lobster Makes Debut

A rare 1-in-30-million calico lobster, named Jackie, has made her debut at Northeastern University's Marine Science Center in Nahant, Massachusetts.

Jackie owes her unique orange and black colors to a mixture of chemical compounds, making her a seasonally-colored crustacean and one of nature's best Halloween ambassadors.

According to the Marine Science Center outreach coordinator Sierra Munoz, the odds of catching a crustacean like Jackie are about one-in-30 million.
