The RSPCA Isle of Wight is urging Islanders to take on a sizzling challenge — walking barefoot across red-hot embers to help raise vital funds for animals in need.
The Firewalk Challenge takes place at Havenstreet Station on Saturday, November 8, from 4pm to 7pm, offering participants the chance to test their courage while supporting the Island’s most vulnerable animals.
It costs around £750,000 a year to run the charity’s Animal Centre, which cares for hundreds of rescued animals each year. With less than 10% of its income coming from the national RSPCA, local fundraising is crucial to keep providing food, shelter, veterinary care and rehabilitation.
