Veteran's Haven Transitional Housing
Fourteen shipping containers have been delivered to the South Side to create the first-of-its-kind transitional housing for veterans in Ohio.
Each container will include a bedroom and a bathroom, connected in the middle with a brick and mortar structure featuring common areas.
They'll have the common area in the middle of the building where there's going to be a kitchen, laundry facility, therapy rooms, office space, a television, a living room setting
said Brandi Parker, assistant director of outreach services in the Veteran Services Division of Family and Community Services Inc.
- Veteran's Haven is a program of Family and Community Services.
- The project is located at Hillman Street and West Warren Avenue.
- The transitional housing program is funded through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
