Milford Baptist Church Honors Pastor for 20 Years of Service
Milford Baptist Church celebrated Pastor Clarence Howard's 20th anniversary as pastor of the church on Sunday, Oct.
Pastor Howard was born in Easley, S.C., and grew up in Pickens County. He attended Clemson University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in social work, and later received his theological training at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, earning a Master of Divinity degree.
Pastor Howard credits Pastor Garland Sentell of Pickens, S.C., with teaching him a great work ethic, visiting every patient at the local hospital every day at 7 a.m.
Pastor Howard's use of alliteration in his sermons was inspired by Dean M. Weaver, pastor of Forest Hill Baptist Church in Anderson, S.C.
