Sallisaw Parent Demands Accountability from School
A parent, who wishes to remain anonymous, is seeking accountability from Eastside Elementary in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, after her fifth-grade son was assaulted on the playground.
"I’ve cried for 24 hours now," she said. "He was held down on the playground by two other kids and one other kid... they sexually assaulted him is what I was told, and now today they’re trying to say it was hazing."
The parent expressed shock and disappointment at the school's initial response, which included a five-day suspension for the alleged perpetrators.
"I don’t think five days is enough for something like this," she said.
