Walk to End Alzheimer’s Returns to Galveston

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s returns to Stewart Beach on Saturday, featuring a dog-friendly event with purple bandanas for pets and adoptable dogs from the Galveston Island Humane Society.

The event, starting at 8 a.m. with an opening ceremony at 8:45 a.m., is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research, held in over 600 communities nationwide.

Participants will complete a 5K walk on the beach, supporting and honoring loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s.

Many members of the Rotary Club of Galveston’s Rovin’ Rotarians participated in the recent Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
