A Detroit mother, Licara Parks, 37, appeared in court for allegedly bringing a pocket knife to her 13-year-old daughter's school, which was then used to stab a classmate.

According to investigators, Parks admitted to giving the pocket knife to her daughter, who subsequently stabbed a 13-year-old classmate five times at Gompers Elementary-Middle School.

The judge set a $50,000 personal bond for Parks and ordered her to be placed on a GPS tether.

The victim survived the attack.

Police say that the daughter then used it to stab another student in the classroom.
