The club has been recognized for its efforts, being awarded Club of the Year at the North West Regional Volunteer Awards.
With over 60 years of experience, Wigan Harriers has developed numerous athletes, from beginners to over a dozen Olympic and Paralympic internationals.
In 2024, the club successfully implemented a plan to achieve all of its Club Standards, led by two committee members.
