Co-op is launching a new waste reduction scheme, offering its members 50% off loose in-store bakery products from 6pm.
The scheme, "Too Good To Waste", applies to all unsold unpackaged/loose Co-op in-store bakery items, including croissants, baguettes, rolls, and Danish pastries.
"Our Too Good To Waste initiative is a simple way to help our members save while also reducing food waste – so everyone can enjoy delicious bakery treats and do their bit for the planet."
According to Co-op buyer Charlotte Waring, the scheme recognizes that many Co-op members buy baked goods later in the day, whether for an evening treat or to top up the bread bin at home.
