Opting to bat first, the visitors racked up a total of 165/3 in 20 overs, courtesy of an unbeaten 83-run partnership between Powell and captain Shai Hope.
West Indies got off to a decent start, with openers Alick Athanaze and Brandon King putting together a 59-run stand which culminated with Athanaze's dismissal in the ninth over.
