With just weeks to go until Election Day, Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani, independent candidate Andrew Cuomo, and Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa met for the first mayoral debate of the general election at WNBC’s studios in 30 Rockefeller Center Thursday night.
The two-hour face-off was personal from the opening moments as Mamdani and Cuomo attacked the other’s record and character and Sliwa attempted to contrast himself with his other campaign rivals.
