Police Link Kidnapping to Local Drug Trade Dispute
A 49-year-old woman from Hoofddorp remains missing after being kidnapped, with police believing she was taken to "pressure" others involved in a dispute related to the local drug trade.
- A sixth suspect, a 29-year-old man from Beersel, Belgium, has been arrested in connection with the case.
- Five other men, including two 37-year-olds from Almere and three men from Rotterdam and Amsterdam, were previously arrested.
The woman was last seen leaving Mosselplaat in Hoofddorp at 8:30 a.m. on her way to work, but never arrived, with her vehicle later found in Nieuw-Vennep.
Police are working with investigators in other countries, but details of the collaboration have not been disclosed to protect the investigation.
